You had Hot in the City and Kids in America! I love Billy Idol! Very nice. Another blog friend has your list and everytime I see it, I always start singing 65 Love Affair. It was a really bad song, so it's better you don't recall it.

Welcome back, Blue Star. The first concert I ever saw was Kenny Rogers. My mom took my brother and me to see him in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Kenny kicked ass. Dolly Parton came out and they did that "islands in the Stream" song. Kenny was so gentlemanly and looked so smooth in a white suit.

Sometimes my IQ slips. I can't help it.

I can't seem to help it.

Laughter.

The thing of course that made that list hard is that (naturally) it didn't include New Zealand music which is what all us kids back then were tuned in to. There was a surge of NZ music around this time that started in the late 70s. It was going off. Lots of small touring bands. Punk rock. The Dunedin sound (that was followed by the likes of Sonic Youth). Jangly guitars. Oh, it was so good.

Kenny Rogers. Ruby can sometimes make me weep. Ru-u-by. Don't take your love to town.

It's sad to hear that your IQ has been slipping O'Grady. You should do something about that.
